Brothers Big 25th...In Copenhagen

SO my big brother, wanted to celebrate his 25th away from home. He decided that he wanted to go on a city break to Copenhagen, Denmark and invited me to go along with him! This was our first trip together so I was really looking forward to it. Time to bond away from work and all our responsibilities at home

My brothers birthday is in July, which is the heart of summer, however we booked quite early, so our flights weren’t expensive. We were only away for a few days, so we booked a hotel a few stops away on the train from the city centre.

We arrived in Copenhagen the day before his birthday. The weather was lovely, the sun was shining, clear blue skies, the perfect weather to top up that melanin. First things first, we made our way from the airport to our hotel by train to check ourselves in, then we made our way to the city centre to do some sight seeing, and get used to the city, and figure out where we wanted to explore over the next couple of days. We went into the city town hall, and oh my goodness it was so beautiful, I nearly put a deposit down to book the place for my wedding! The city hall was breathtaking, amazing views, lovely outdoor space, just beautiful. Next, we walked through town and ended up at the famous beautiful waterfront canal, Nyhavn. The canal is lined with brightly coloured 17th & 18th early century townhouses, restaurants and bars.

The following day, we made our way to Tivoli Gardens, a huge amusement park in the centre of Copenhagen. It’s crazy, we walked past Tivoli gardens the day before and had no idea it was an amusement park. it’s amazing how a city can have something so big hidden in plain sight. The entry fee was not a small fee, so we decided to spend most of the day there, strolling through the park taking in the views, and enjoying what the amusement park had to offer. Later that evening, there was a Danish band playing in the Gardens, so we stayed and enjoyed a free concert! It was an amazing experience, and a great way for my brother to spend his birthday.

My mum joined us in Copenhagen the following day, and we all went out for dinner at KoD Steakhouse Copenhagen to continue the celebration of his birthday. The food there was amazing, the steaks were done so well, and we all had an amazing dinner.

Anyways….enough about the trip! Here are some photos that I took in Copenhagen.

Peace & Love
