Quick Weekend Getaway to Paris

Many think that Paris is simply a destination for those in love…and it is, a beautiful, romantic destination for a BAEcation, however the three times i’ve been to Paris, has never been with a significant other! This last trip I went on, I went with my friend, Alexia. We went in May 2018, it was such a great time to go. We took the Eurostar at early hours of the morning (this meant we didn’t have liquid restrictions woohoo) and we we were staying with Alexia’s cousin who lives out there. It was sooo nice of him to put us up as it meant we didn’t have to pay for accommodation. The weather this time of year is just perfect, it is not too hot, so one isn’t burning whilst roaming the streets of Paris, and it is also not too cold so we were also able to top up our melanin :).

Alexia and I visited the Louvre, of course we visited the Eiffel Tower (day and night), and visited the Arc de Triomphe. We shopped on the Av. des champs - eleysees (when I say shopping, I mean window shopping, aint nobody got that kinda coins) we bought macarons from Laduree and went to Sephora to buy some Fenty Beauty. We also visited the Foundation Louis Vuitton where we saw some beautiful artwork by Taskashi Murakami, a Japanese artist - if you haven’t checked him out already, you definitely should.

We also went for dinner at Hippopotamus - a french steakhouse, and it was absolutely amazing.

We were in Paris for three days, and we both just wanted a break from our busy schedules, so the trip was the perfect balance between relaxation and busy. The only thing we didn’t get to do was go to Disney land hahahaha, next year :p

Who knows…maybe next year i’ll be in Paris on a baecation and taking a trip to Disneyland ;) i’ll be sure to let y’all know how that is!!

If it happens lol.

Here are some photos of our trip…Paris will definitely be seeing me very..very soon.

Peace & Love
